Background:
Hainault Bulldogs were formed in 2007 and surpassed their wildest dreams within their inaugural season. The regular season saw the bulldogs beat all comers within the london league & narrowly lost to an exceptional Met Police side in a friendly.
The Play off season saw the Bulldogs beat a strong St Albans side in the Semi Finals whilst beating the Eastern Raiders 30-4 in the final. Local interest has been exceptional with crowds in excess of 200 people at some games and full page write ups in the local recorder newspaper, read all over East London & Essex.
Focusing on all sides of the game we ensure that the post match activities are as fun for all the family with BBQs, bands, bouncy castles as well as regular functions including a visit from Rugby League Legend John Bentley & the RL President Graham Liles.
2008 saw the Bulldogs form two teams, with the first team in the Rugby League Conference & our development team in the successful London League. The first team finished the season Eastern Confernce Champions and reached the semi finals of the National Play-Offs. A fantastic feat in their first season whilst the development team had a successful season, developing players to such a standard that over half went on to wear first team shirts by the end of 2008.
2009 saw another year of great growth with 3 successful academy teams joining the fold with Under 12, 14 and 16s playing in the London Junior League, all three teams made the London League playoffs with the U14s and 16s making the semi finals. The Senior team also stepped up playing in the prestigious RLC Southern Premier, the top league within the South of England.
